January 14

It is a new year and I am looking forward to it. I am teaching two classes during C term, UIS 350, Technology in Education, and UIS 412, Pre-Calculus for teachers. I have a total of 29 students between the 2 classes. I am teaching students in Northern Virginia for both classes so I have had to learn how to do Wimba or Live Classroom. Certainly my brain will never get rusty!

My son's wedding was a week ago today, how time flies. I will be meeting with UiS 350 next Saturday. We have some computer glitches both on my part and on the part of some of the students. I am looking forward to seeing my 3 students face-to-face and talking about their student teaching experiences and how they can best use technology in the classroom.

Thursday Afternoon Before the Wedding

Whew, hard to believe but my son's rehearsal dinner is tomorrow. My husband and I have a 5 hour drive to Wilmington, DE and the rehearsal is at 6! Lots to do before then. There will be 36 people at the rehearsal and 132 at the wedding. I pray that everything goes well and the weather isn't too hot.

Well, this is my first try at blogging! When I was young, I used to keep a diary. This is very similar. Today, I try to keep two journals, one is a gratitude journal and one is a prayer journal. I got the gratitude journal idea from Oprah years ago. You write down 5 things you are grateful for every day. It is amazing how many wonderful things we have when you write them on paper. My other journal is a prayer journal. Looking back at old journals, it is truly amazing how all of the prayers have been answered. I encourage anyone to keep these two types of journals.
